It can be hardened through φ28~60mm during water quenching, and φ15~40mm during oil quenching. In addition to heat treatment, this steel can also be used for cyanidation and induction hardening. The machining performance is good. When the strength is 174~229HB, the relative drilling performance reaches 60%. Suitable for small and medium-sized injection molds.

Strengthening can promote the optimization of the mechanism, close to the equilibrium state, and improve the processing performance of the rough embryo. When the temperature is 550~570℃ for quenching, the 40Cr steel pipe has good comprehensive physical properties. The cutting performance of seamless pipe is higher than that of 45 steel, which is suitable for induction hardening, flame heat treatment and other surface hard bottom dissolution.
